Iberolacerta aranica
This female of Iberolacerta
aranica
was shot in August 2005 by my friend Gilles Pottier in Ariège,
France.
This
species was described
in 1993 by
the Spanish herpetologist Oscar Arribas. It is an endemic of the
Pyrenean Mountains, and lives only in the Val
de Aran region, which
is located in the
center of the Pyrenees.
